A Series on Hope
September 17 - November 19
"... and hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us." - Romans 5:5
We are excited to announce our Fall Program: Strength for Today, Hope for Tomorrow! In this ten week series, we are focused on hope: where we find it, how we cultivate it, and how it challenges us to move outside of ourselves. We'll explore this theme through music, preaching, special liturgical practices, conversation, and service. Read below for some highlights, check out the calendar page, and check the newsletters for further ways to get involved.

Jazz Weekend
September 23 - 24
The annual Hyde Park Jazz Festival is happening at the end of the month! We will once again host performances in our sanctuary on Saturday, including The Gospel According to Nikki Giovanni. We will then be celebrating the ways that hope is present within the genre of jazz in our worship service on Sunday.
Hope Punk Book Study
October 1 & 8, 11:30am
Hope Punk is a genre of speculative fiction that demands "a better, kinder world." We'll discuss how hope can be found in literature by reading the Hugo award-winning book A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. Please reach out to the church office if you need any assistance in purchasing the book.
